"How wonderful to discover the flavors and spirit of Sicily in the neighborhood of San Jacopino! The chef and owner is talented, knows alot about natural ingredients, prepares the food fresh, by hand, homemade- but way better. Excellent everything! We loved the eggplant parmigiana, the pasta is fresh and divine! Exquisite pasta with pistachio pesto, pasta with sardines( so good!) pasta alla Norma. Even the bread was lightly rubbed with garlic, a sprinkle of peperoncino, and excellent olive oil. The pastries are excellent too-the canollis have such yummy crunchy shells, not waxy, so the chef uses good oil, the ricotta naturally sweet, generously garnished with crushed pistachios. The wine- a sicilian Vermentino, was fresh and satisfying. We can't wait to try the sorbetto and gelato, and of course the arancini. This is a little jewel in San Jacopino, thanks to the high standards and authentic cooking and pastry making of a truly hard working and talented chef. Thank you!!!"
